How to give your Customers an excellent experience?

Customer Service is very important, I not only am thrilled with introducing a Wonderful Product to a new customer .. I am excited for that customer to try my products and pray that they love the items just as much as I do .. or if possible, even more. Next I am hoping that my new customers will remember me, the next time they are having to purchase a gift .. shop thru me first, aside from the wide variety of products Scentsy offers .. but I am convenient .. no more trying to figure out: What to Buy? Lack of parking stalls at the mall, traffic, over-priced items etc.. Not only do I carry inventory that you will love, I will deliver it to you as well! Great customer service plus great products = Repeat Customer, Referals, Possible Recruit to build my team, and more importantly a Happy Customer who loves the products I provide. Along with all of that ... you build loyalty. I love that I have customers that only buy thru me, make sure to never let an existing customer feel that they are not valued or important because they have already purchased, and may have enough product to last a while .. they are important, and like to know that when or if a new items comes up, that you thought of them to share it with them .. or send them a free sample as a little gift to say you are thinking about them .. or make it personal ... I know you love the smell of Sandlewood, this is a new scent hat just came out and thought you might enjoy it. Finding NEW Customers is extremely important to your Business .. but don't forget your Core Customer Base!

So, for all of you who have a Home Based Business, What struggles do you have? How have you built your downline ... What do you do to make your Business a success? Any advice would be appreciated.

Do something you love?

I do love Scentsy! Before I become a consultant, I was a fan of Scentsy. I was interested in finding a Business that I could do on the side of my full time job. I didn't just want any Business ... I knew that selling water, vitamins, or Juice was not for me. Don't get me wrong .. there is nothing wrong with those products... I was just not passionate about them .. prehaps because I did not have a Product Experience. I did my homework before joing Scentsy. I researched the Company on line and found so many wonderful stories about the Business, Products and equally important about the owners. They have received many awards with the Direct Sellers Association, give lots to Charity .. and support their Consultants. I certainly loved what I was reading and loved the products that I had seen on line. I wanted to make sure the products looked just as good in person and for me I also wanted to see the the product packaging was just as good. I went to our local Womans Trade Show and there was a Scentsy Station .. I WAS HOOKED! The products & packaging top quality. I have never looked back. I have been a satisfied Customer & Consultant. What I find to be true for me .. is that Scenty brings back so many wonderful memories or experienced thru the amazing fragrances they have developed. I find so often that a customer is draw to a particular scentsy as it is a reminder of a grandparent, or something specific from childhood. I also find that the products are quite versatile, and if you are creative you will find additional uses for the products. Example : The Room Sprays are amazing as they are. But in winter, I live in boots. I like to give a little spray in my boot .. so when I am at a friends or families home, and I remove my boots .. I love the gentle smell of White Sands on my socks. So .. find something that you would like to do, that is just yours, or something you would like to do with a friend or as a family project. Find a product that you love, that you enjoy .. because it is human nature, that when you love something, or have a product that your really really like .. you want to share it and introduce others to it .. not because it is your Business .. but rather because you what others to enjoy it as you do. I wish you great success in your life, with what ever you decide to do.

Life Cycle

Every Business has a life cycle ... so when the going gets tough .. pause before considering giving up. Things to consider. 1. Start Up Phase: New Product, Unkown, Unproven .. Your job is to get the word out, introduce people to your Business, to a New Product or Service. TALK TO EVERYONE! Spread the word. Create awareness. If you can, give samples to people to try .. we all like FREE things. 2. Tornado Phase: Your product or service has created a buzz. This is an exciting phase, people are starting to recognize your business, product or service .. your phone is ringing. The more people who know about your Business, Product or Service the better, as it brings a level of trust. Focus on a high level of Customer Service. Happy Customers return and tell others about their experience with you. During this phase of growth, think about ways you can grow your business and keep reaching out to find customers. 3. Main Street Phase: Important Phase ( Saturated Market vs Product Awareness ) People know about your product or service, they have purchased. You have to shift your mindset and do business differently. Get creative to bring in New Customers .. think outside the box, host a party, do some giveaways for New Clients or Referrals. Reach out, Network, ...get involved in your community. SALES CYCLES: Sales typically slow down in the " J " Month ( Jan, June, July ) Be innovative & creative to make those month better. Work your Business by making connections. Allow your customers to get to know you, as not just a Consultant but as a friend. See them as more than just a Customer, take an interest in them outside of the business. What will make you successful and allow your Business to grow will be the investment you make in knowing your business, great customer service and connecting with your customers on a personal level as well as professional.

Climbing the mountain ..

From where I am standing .. the mountain is STEEP! The process of climbing it seems overwhelming ... impossible! Where & how do you begin to enter unchartered territory. Being an entrepreneur is certainly not for everyone, we all have different wants, needs. We ALL do have somethings in common .. we need an income. Why not take some control and create the income you want, you deserve. I mean it clearly is not going to come easy .. but if you work for it .. .. it just might come. I guess like everything else, the hardest part is getting started, taking that first step .. why??? I guess it is a mixture of reasons, Not knowing what to do or how to do it, not believing in yourself, thinking that success if for someone else not for you .. we CREATE so many road blocks to keep us in one spot .. to keep us stuck. Perhaps we have become comfortable being stuck .. I mean we know what to expect. What makes some people step out of the mud, and trust that they will land on a solid foundation .. and if not ... willing to accept the uncertainty that lays ahead if believe that the fruits of you labours will pay off. I guess the first part of your journey is to 1. Change your mindset .. be positive, you got yourself into the mess you may be in, so why can't you have faith, that you will also get yourself out of it. 2. Educate yourself: Read books on what you are working towards, learn from others, get a mentor, go to seminars .. the world is full of people walking the walk .. and thsey would be thrilled to share their journey with you .. and help you accomplish your dreams. 3. Proceed cautionously .. but proceed .. take the step, make goals, and re-evaluate your position often. Keep your finger on the pulse of your journey and make the necessary steps to reposition as needed. What are your successes? What advice do you have to help us take that step and steer our ship to success? What mistakes did you make that we can learn from? Look before you leap ----but, LEAP !!

To blog or not to blog .. that is the question??

Clearly I have not made blogging a priority .. infact this is the first time in a long, long, long time to even open my blog. I have to say kudos to those who have made the time to do this consistantly. I am going to try. If you are a blogger that does this religiously, I would love to know how you do this? What got you into blogging, what do you blog about, and why?? For those like me .. what are your struggles? Tend to one, if you are like me you will not be able to answer that question because you will not see it .. your computer or blog will be off. Do help this blogger find her feet to get of the ground, what advice can you share.
